The Dead Sea and The Red Sea must be taken care of and be saved for the future of all mankind!

Such an interesting interview and article.

It seems to be a war of water.

Not dissimilar to that of the worlds second driest continent, Australia.

We have the Murray Darling Basin which spreads over four states.

Each State wants to get the most water possible This at times leads to South Australia water stress. Cubbie Station in Queensland has in the past taken water equivalent to the total entitlement of all of New South Wales.

Your situation in Queensland sounds quite similar to what we have in California.

Where I live in Southern California, it's a semi-desert. Los Angeles only exists because we pump our water primarily from Northern California through the California Aqueduct, and also from the Colorado river, which is hundreds of miles to the east.

For more than a century the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power pumped out massive quantities of water from the Owens Valley up north almost until it dried out! Only intervention by the courts stopped it about a decade ago. But the water will never come back.

It all goes to show that in many parts of the world water is an incredibly scarce resource and one essential for human survival.

It's only going to get worse with climate change. Let's hope we are all mature enough to sort it out before we all die of thirst.

It seems like Noam has indeed come up with what potentially could be a solution: replenishing the sea of Galilee, opening up the Jordan River and restoring the natural flow of water into the Dead Sea.

The big unanswered question, however, is where would Israel get the water from to pump into the Sea of Galilee? It may have a surplus of water due to its expertise in desalinization, but surely not enough to make any difference to a body of water the size of Galilee? Perhaps Noam could answer this question – but perhaps there is no answer.

Well it is a good question, so I asked my trusty research assistant Siri and she said, "I cannot answer that question."

I tried her on a much more profound question: What is the meaning of life?

She could actually answer this one although she might have been trying to have a sense of humor when she said:

“Its nothing Nietzsche couldn’t teach you!”

So I turned to Alexa, and just like Jeff Bezos did when his affair was exposed, she said: “No comment.”

Thank you Jean, your comments are much appreciated. However, credit for the pictures should definitely go to Noam … he is an amazing photographer, videographer and all around remarkable person.

There is actually a most unusual behind-the-scenes story about how we met and how I came upon all the information in this article.

When I was in Israel in 2013, I actually met his father. Two weeks ago, I reached out to his dad for help — and that's where fate intervened.

I am preparing a follow-up story detailing all of this and it will be published in a day or two. Watch your email for it!
